Research Fellow
Jovana Tijanić joined the Institute of International Politics and Economics in April 2019, within the Centre for International Law and Economics. The areas of her academic interest are public international law, diplomatic and consular law, international judiciary and international organizations.
During her master’s academic studies, she worked as a teaching aide at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade in the course of International Public Law. She was the carrier of the Dositeja scholarship of the Fund for Young Talents of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. Since 2022, she has been the secretary of the European Legislation scientific journal and assistant coordinator of the Ambassador Forum of the Institute for International Politics and Economics.
Jovana has published more than ten scientific articles in academic journals and publications, and has participated in several international and national conferences. She visited the University of Saarland in Germany on a research stay in 2019, and in January 2021 she attended the winter school of the Hague Academy for International Law.
She obtained her PhD title from the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, defending her dissertation “Limitations of the immunity of the highest state representatives according to international law.”
She is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and has learned Russian and Chinese.
