Institute of International Politics and Economics held the online conference “Food security and international law”. Conference participants were leading international experts in this area: Jonathan Verschuuren, Tilburg University, Genevieve Parent, University Laval, Uche Ewelukwa Ofodule, University of Arkansas, Billy Batuware, the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, Anni Bellows, Siracusa University and Nadia Lambek, Western University.
Their speaches considered the effect that climate change has on food security, the relationship between law and food systems’ transition for improved nutrition and sustainability, agritech and contemporary digital remedies in the context of food security, human right to adequate food and nutrition and food sovereignty, UN General Assembly Declaration on Peasants’ Rights, etc.
