Senior Research Fellow
Dr. Marina Kostić Šulejić is a senior research fellow at the Institute for International Politics and Economics, where she has been employed since 2018. She completed her undergraduate, specialist and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Concepts of World Order in the Security Policies of the United States of America, the Russian Federation and the European Union at the Beginning of the 21st Century” in 2019. Dr. Kostić Šulejić’s areas of interest are world order and security and defense policy, with a special focus on the area of arms control, the Balkan region and German foreign and security policy. Dr. Kostić Šulejić is the author of two monographs – “Military neutrality and nuclear weapons: between a possession and a ban” (2024) and “Strategic stability in a multipolar world” (2022). Marina is author of about thirty scientific papers in domestic and foreign journals, thematic collections of papers and, she was a participant of numerous domestic and international scientific conferences. Marina is a recipient of scholarships from the Austrian Academy of Science (2024), International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (2023), Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (2013/2014) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (2009/2010). For several times, Marina was a mentor in the framework of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Internship Program. She is a member of the editorial board of the journal Međunarodni problemi (International Problems).
