Research fellow of the Institute of International Politics and Economics, Dr. Marina Kostić Šulejić, participated in the Annual Conference of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium, held in Brussels from 12-14 November.
The conference brought together a large number of diplomats and representatives of academic and research institutions. The topics of this year’s conference were multilateral arms control in the age of geopolitical tensions, chemical weapons disarmament and the emergence of new threats using these types of weapons of mass destruction, the future of biological weapons, the agenda of non-proliferation and disarmament in Asia and the risks of proliferation in the Middle East, the arms race in outer space, challenges to conventional arms control, new technologies, the war in Ukraine and arms control, as well as the path to the NPT Review Conference to be held in 2026.
