Dr. Nenad Stekić, Research Fellow at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, participated in the global congress “World Forum for Democracy 2024” organized by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The congress was held from November 6th to 8th at the Council of Europe headquarters, bringing together experts, scholars, and civil society representatives from around the world to discuss key issues of democracy in the modern age.

Stekić participated in the forum as an alumnus of the “Annual Seminar of the BFPE Foundation for a Responsible Society” supported by the Council of Europe. As part of the forum, participants also had the opportunity to visit the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, where they learned about the Court’s work, met with judges, and gained insight into its role in protecting human rights across the European continent.
