The twenty-first annual conference of the Valdai Club was held in Sochi, from 4-7. in November 2024. At the conference, held under the title “Lasting Peace on What Basis? Common Security and Equal Opportunities for Development in the 21st Century”, Dr. Ivona Lađevac, deputy director of the Institute, participated at the invitation of the organizers.
At the four-day conference, more than 140 participants from 50 countries, representatives of the academic community, experts in the fields of international relations, economics, mass media and artificial intelligence, discussed all burning issues of current international relations. Dr. Lađevac pointed out the necessity of solving negative demographic trends.
The conference participants also had the opportunity to speak with the highest representatives of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department, Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister, Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Executive Office, as well with President Vladimir Putin in separate session.
