Marina Radovanović, MA, Research Assistant at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, took part in the 28th International Scientific Conference “National Minorities, Migration, and Security”, held on the Brijuni Islands from September 2nd to September 4th. Presenting on the topic “EU Return Directive Recast: Towards More Effective Irregular Migration Management and/or a Violation of Fundamental Rights?”, she contributed to a thematic panel that addressed various dimensions of migration, including demographic, social, economic, legal, and cultural aspects.
The conference was organized by the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb in collaboration with Croatia’s Office for Human Rights and the Rights of National Minorities, the Institute for Ethnic Studies (IES) in Ljubljana, the Academic Network for Cooperation in South East Europe (ANCSEE), and the Faculty of Security Studies at the University of Belgrade.
