Saudi Arabia and the Bomb: Are Nuclear Weapons an Option?

Nataša Pajić, MA, Research Assistant at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, held the introductory lecture on the topic “Saudi Arabia and the Bomb: Are Nuclear Weapons an Option?”.

Drawing on the balance of threat theory, colleague Pajić identified the factors that shape the Saudi perception of the Iranian nuclear threat, and then analysed the Saudi nuclear ambitions in the context of the accelerated development of the Iranian nuclear program.
