Dr. Nevena Šekarić Stojanović and Marina Radovanović, MA, researchers from the Institute of International Politics and Economics, undertook a short-term study visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, organized by the OSCE Mission to Serbia for members of its alumni network. The study visit took place from June 10 to June 14 in Stockholm.
During their stay, the participants had the opportunity to meet representatives from various state institutions, academic and research organizations, and public agencies such as the Ministry of Defence, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), and the Swedish Defence University. The wide range of topics discussed included the reform of the Swedish police considering transnational security challenges, the development of international police and defence cooperation in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, concepts of military neutrality, non-alignment, and total defence, as well as issues concerning transparency in research data collection and deepening international academic and educational collaboration.
In addition to the study visit’s working program, a formal reception was hosted for the participants at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Kingdom of Sweden.
