IIPE research associate, Dr. Danilo Babić, participated in the international conference entitled “The ongoing Russian war in Ukraine and its political, economic and social consequences across the African continent”. The conference was held under the auspices of the Hungarian Africa Research Centre at the University of Pécs.
Dr. Babić delivered a presentation on “Effects of the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict on the Sahel Region, and vice versa.” Researchers from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland also participated in the conference. Following the presentations, there was a discussion with students of international studies at the University of Pécs, as well as a conversation with representatives of the diplomatic missions of African countries in Hungary.
