Research Fellow at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, dr Aleksandar Mitić, completed the two-week “Seminar on Capacity Building for Think Tanks from BRI Countries” organized by the Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD) in Beijing and Xi’an.
The seminar was attended by 25 participants from eight countries (Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Croatia and Serbia).
The CIKD was founded at the initiative of China’s President Xi Jinping with the goal of exchanging experiences among member countries of the Belt and Road Initiative, and was given the task at the BRICS 2022 Summit to produce the yearly “Global Development Report”.
During his stay in Beijing, Aleksandar also gave at lecture titled “China-Serbia Relations in the New Geopolitical Context” at the headquarters of the Central Institute of Party Literature and History (CIPHL) of the Communist Party of China.
