Аfter many years of cooperation, Institute of International Politics and Economics with the support of Research Center for Regional Conflicts, of Doshisha University (Kyoto) organized Serbia-Japan academic meeting “Reflections of world crisis in South-East Europe and in Pacific”.
Together with the initiators of the meeting, Prof. Taro Tsukimura and Dr. Slobodan Janković, head of the Center for the Neighborhood and the Mediterranean, in the work of two-panel conference participated Dr. Kohei Imai (Overseas Research Fellow, IDE/METU), Dr. Dušan Proroković, Dr. Nataša Stanojević, Dr. Aleksandar Mitić, Shuhei Mizogushi (Professor, Hosei University), Atsuko Higashino (Professor, University of Tsukuba), Dr Stevan Gajić (research fellow at the Institute of European Studies) and Hiroaki Matsushita (Researcher of the Embassy of Japan in Serbia).
Representative of the Japanese embassy in Belgrade, Mr Tetsuya Tsubota and director of the IIPE, Prof. Branislav Đorđević greeted the researchers.
Conference participants discussed the global trends, the political and economic consequences of political and economic crisis in Europe and in North Pacific, the security architecture after the Ukrainian War, the EU perception in Turkey, opinion polls in Russia, and Okinawa and securitization issues, and other related topics.
