A delegation of students from Tsinghua University visited the Institute of International Politics and Economics and had discussions with researchers of the Regional Centre “Belt and Road”, along with research assistants and research associates of the Institute.
Dr. Katarina Zakić, the Head of the Belt and Road Centre, spoke about the Institute’s history and work and the activities conducted by the Belt and Road Centre. Dr. Zakić also presented the COMPASS and PERSPECTIVES 2030 projects, which are being implemented by the IIPE.
Dr. Nenad Stekić and Dr. Aleksandar Mitić, research fellows at the Regional Centre “Belt and Road”, spoke in more detail about the results of the COMPASS project during their presentation of the COMPASS Annual Yearbook, as well as key events and trends in international relations to be followed in 2025 as part of the project’s implementation.
During the discussion various topics were addressed, including the relationship between the People’s Republic of China and Central and Eastern European countries, China’s political and economic cooperation with Serbia, and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind.
