H.E. Mr. Li Ming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia, delivered a lecture “China’s Foreign and Development Policy” at the Institute of International Politics and Economics.
Mr. Li highlighted the fundamental principles, achievements, and challenges of China’s economic, foreign, and development policies. On this occasion, he particularly emphasized the importance and significance of the phrase “Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”, which serves as a cornerstone of all three pillars of China’s (foreign) policy actions. Alongside general remarks on the directions of industrial, technological, trade, and foreign direct investment development, he underlined the importance of deepening the partnership with the Republic of Serbia considering the recently adopted Free Trade Agreement.
In addition to the lecture, a formal ceremony was held to award the Grand Plaque – the highest recognition of the Institute of International Politics and Economics – which this year was bestowed upon the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Serbia.
The lecture and the Grand Plaque award ceremony were attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, state institutions, the academic community, media, and researchers from the Institute.
