A delegation of the Institute of International Politics and Economics (IIPE), composed of IIPE Director, Prof. Dr. Branislav Đorđević, Deputy Director and Senior Research Fellow Dr. Ivona Lađevac, as well as research fellows Dr. Aleksandar Mitić and Dr. Nenad Stekić, attended in Beijing the 10th High-Level Symposium of Think-Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC).

The symposium was addressed by, among others, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Hua Chunying, Political Director of the Prime Minister of Hungary Balasz Orban, as well as Zhao Zhimin, Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the host of the symposium held on the premises of the Chinese Academy for History.

Prof. Đorđević spoke at the Plenary session of the symposium, while the other members of the IIPE delegation presented their research findings during special panels devoted to China’s global initiatives, geopolitics and economy.

During their stay in Beijing, the delegation also met with the Director of the Euro-Asian Social Development Research Institute of the Development Research Center of the State Council of People’s Republic of China, Dr. Li Yongquan, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Maja Stefanović.

The CEEC delegations also visited Chongqing, in central China, one of the most populous agglomerations in the world and departure point of the China-Europe Railway Express, and visited the Chongqing Jiaotong University, as well as robotics and logistics centers.
