In cooperation with Russian partners – the Gorchakov Fund, the Higher School of Economics and Rossotrudnichevstvo – the Institute of International Politics and Economics organised the international conference “The Bombing of Yugoslavia: Long-Term Consequences for Serbian Society and Multipolar World Formation”.
The conference, held at the Ruski dom in Belgrade, was addressed by the Chairman of the Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin (video address), the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, the Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Yevgeny Primakov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Botsan-Kharchenko and the Director of the Institute of International Politics and Economics prof. dr Branislav Đorđević.
The IIPE director presented the Serbian edition of the scientific monograph “Lasting Echo 1999” devoted to the theme of the conference, which is a result of the project led by the professor of the Higher School of Economics Ekaterina Entina.
The Head of the Center for Eurasian Studies of the IIPE, prof. dr Dušan Proroković, took part in the project and moderated one of the four panels, which were addressed by IIPE research fellows Bogdan Stojanović and Aleksandar Mitić.
