At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Nenad Stekić, a Research Fellow at the Institute, undertook a study visit to Beijing International Studies University from October 11 to 31, 2024. This visit took place as part of the annual “Young Sinologists” program, with this year’s overarching theme focusing on Beijing’s role as a center relevant to international relations and exchange.
During the study visit, Dr. Stekić, under the guidance of an assigned professor, prepared an article on contemporary relations between the Republic of Serbia and the PR China. The program also included a series of lectures on international relations, Beijing’s position in global affairs, and Beijing’s soft power as a megacity. Additionally, it featured several thematic study visits within Beijing and its surroundings.
The program hosted 27 participants from 21 countries across all continents.
