Dr. Slobodan Popović, a Research Fellow at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, delivered an inaugural lecture titled “The Role of the SCO in the Geopolitical, Geoeconomic, and Diplomatic Positioning of the People’s Republic of China.”
The lecture primarily focused on the significance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in China’s global diplomatic, security, and geopolitical initiatives. Dr. Popović emphasized that these initiatives not only serve China’s national interests but also foster a sense of partnership and provide strategic support not only to member states in their defense against hegemonism and unilateralism.
