Institute of International Politics and Economics hosted a delegation of students and professors from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Ivona Lađevac, deputy director of the IIPE, and professor Zhang Li, from the Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication, introduced the attendees to the brief history of these two institutions and talked about deepening bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the People’s Republic of China.
The participants of the conversation that followed were Tsinghua University students, members of the Regional Centre “Belt and Road” of the IIPE, research assistants from all centres of the Institute and volunteers. The participants discussed the issues of economic, political and cultural cooperation between Serbia and China, narratives accompanying the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in Serbia in academic and media circles, Serbia’s relations with Russia and the United States, as well as issues of cultural identities and cooperation in the Balkans.
