Dr. Katarina Zakić, Head of the Centre for “Belt and Road” Studies, participated in the First-round table conference entitled “Global Challenges and Green Transition of the Republic of Serbia”, organized in Vrdnik. This conference was realized within the project “Circular Economy as a Model of Development that Forms a New Identity of the Republic of Serbia – EDUCIRC2022” (project number 303), financed by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the project holder is EDUCONS University.
Over 20 presenters from various ministries and agencies for environmental protection, as well as professors and researchers from the country and the region, spoke about different aspects of the circular economy with special reference to the situation in Serbia. In her presentation, Dr. Zakić presented her views on the topic of cooperation between Serbia and China in the field of renewable energy sources.
