At the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, the fifth consecutive project “PEROM of Serbia and Croatia” is underway. The project represents collaboration between students of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade and the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb. PEROM is an acronym for “Political Science Education and Development of Youth Relations” (between Serbia and Croatia). The project will be implemented in two phases, the first of which includes a visit by Zagreb Faculty students to Belgrade, and in the second phase, a return visit of students from Serbia is planned. The primary objective of this project is to gain insight into each other’s educational systems, methods for evaluating academic activities and curricula, and the general academic life at both institutions. Students participating in the project will have the opportunity to attend regular lectures, as well as specially organized thematic lectures, workshops, and a structured visit to the National Assembly.
Isidora Pop-Lazić, Research Associate of the Institute, contributed to the project. During her thematic lecture, Isidora addressed the students on the subject of “Interstate Cooperation between Serbia and Croatia in the Context of EU Integration.” Throughout the lecture, students were provided with a chronological overview of the dynamics and evolution of bilateral relations between Serbia and Croatia, as well as these countries’ relationships with the European Union. Aditional attention was dedicated to the influence of negotiation processes on the development of bilateral relations. In addition to Isidora, several lecturers from the Faculty of Political Sciences also delivered lectures as part of this project.
