The Institute of International Politics and Economics which participates within the World Bank’s SAIGE Project, hosted a meeting with an independent evaluation team to assess the progress of the Institute’s transformation. The evaluation team was composed of independent experts, including Prof. Dr. Bart de Moor from the University of Leuven (Belgium), Prof. Dr. Lars Montelius from the University of Lund (Sweden), and Michael Eilan from Trisolar Group from Israel. The Director of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Branislav Đorđević, along with Dr. Ivona Lađevac, Dr. Milisav Terzić, Dr. Ana Jović Lazić, and Milica Vraneš Ilić, shared their experiences from the project implementation thus far. Participants of the meeting summarized results achieved by the Institute in the first year of the project, while Professor Đorđević presented plans for priority activities for this and the next year.
The visit by the team of independent experts provided them an opportunity to learn about the Institute’s history, current scientific activities, its rich publishing activity, as well as achievements and awards the IIPE received in the past few years.
