First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Branko Ružić. visited the Institute of International Politics and Economics and delivered 40 modern laptops acquired under the transformation process of the SAIGE project.
Minister Ružić said that the IIPE is currently the only institute from the field of social sciences and humanities to participate in the SAIGE project.
„This is an indicator of the quality of the Institute and its staff“, he said, adding that he expects the equipment to help researchers with acquiring new materials at the international level, and the SAIGE project to further integrate the IIPE in the international scientific and research networks.
Director of the IIPE, Prof. Branislav Đorđević, thanked minister Ružić and all the participants in the project. He underlined that with the 40 new laptops the Institute had „completed its technological equipping“ after recently installing fast fiber-optic internet and a modern server.
The SAIGE project is financing scientific research through funds and the institutional transformation of institutes. The entire project is worth 84,5 million euros, and it is financed through World Bank loans and IPA 2019 funds.
