Institute of International Politics and Economics held panel discussion on 70th anniversary of United Nations peacekeeping operations, in cooperation with the UN Office in Belgrade. Ms. Simona-Mirela Miculescu, Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Office in Belgrade, and Prof. Branislav Đorđević, IIPE Director, opened panel discussion. Speakers were Dr. Duško Dimitrijević, IIPE Professorial Fellow, Col. Dr. Ivan Lazarević, Deputy Chief of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre of the Serbian Armed Forces, Lt. Col. Goran Topalović, Chief of Training Department of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre, and Col. Branislav Anočić (Ret.), former Director of Military Intelligence Agency and Military Attaché of the Republic of Serbia in Hungary and the United States. A brief debate followed the introductory presentations, in which took part scholars, academicians, representatives of public authorities, the media and IIPE researchers and alumnists.
