Several junior IIPE researchers attended a media training organised on the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade and led by Cap. Petar Bošković, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Serbian Ministry of Defence, and Col. Dr. Mihailo Zogović, Head of the Media Unit in the same department. The training consisted of two parts – theoretical and practical. The experienced trainers introduced participants with the basics of public appearance with a variety of practical examples – how to best prepare and deal with stage fright, difficult questions and the best use of the media space. In the second part of the training, the participants were divided into groups and given a scenario on the basis of which a representative of each group had the task of answering the questions of journalists from the Media Centre “Defence” in front of the TV camera. In the aftermath, the videos were critically examined to show the students their mistakes.
