Ceremonial gathering and panel discussion:
Serbia and the United Nations – position and perspectives

United Nations Association of Serbia on the occasion of its 60th anniversary organized ceremonial gathering and panel discussion “Serbia and the United Nations – position and perspectives” on 24th October 2012 at the Institute of the International Politics and Economics.

Opening speeches were given by

  • Mr. Milorad Kondić, President of the United Nations Association of Serbia,
  • Mr. William Infante, the UN Resident Co-ordinator in Serbia,
  • Ms. Mira Nikolić, Director of the UN Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs,

Professor Obrad Račić, Honorary president of the UN Assosiation of Serbia, opened panel discussion with its presentation. During the discussion were considered aspects of the Serbian participation in the work of the United Nations, cooperation with the UN agencies in Serbia as well the other current issues of the relation between Serbia and the United Nations.
