International Scientific Conference

International Scientific Conference “Youth Perspectives in the united Europe“ was held at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, on May 9th 2016 in cooperation with the Hans Seidel Foundation. After prof. Branislav Đorđević, Director of IIPE, had opened the Conference and welcomed participants, introductory speeches were given by Mrs. H.E. Dagmar Repcekova (Dagmar Repčeková), Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Belgrade, Mr. Nikola Tanić, asssistent minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and Mr. Lutz Kober, Head of the Office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation for Serbia and Montenegro. On the occasion of the Europe Day, the Exhibition „Serbia on the road to European Union“ was opened in the IIIPE Library, in cooperation with EU Info Center. Head of the IIPE Library Gordana Terzić, briefed the attendees about the history of library and the history of relations between the European Union and SFRY, now Republic of Serbia. The conference included three working session and the most important topics that were discussed related to the youth in the context of the protection of human rights in the European system, the youth and European identity and social and economic challenges that youth are faced in the united Europe. The conference was attended by 40 young representatives of scientific and academic community and moderated by Mihajlo Vučić, PhD, Research Fellow of the IIPE and Marko Novaković, PhD, Research Fellow of the IIPE.
