CONFERENCE:
Improvement of Relations Between Serbia and South-East European States





The Institute of International Politics and Economics
in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation held the two-day international conference entitled

Improvement of Relations Between Serbia and South-East European States

It took place on 8-9 October 2012 in the conference hall of Institute of International Politics and Economics, Belgrade.

The conference was opened by

  • Duško Dimitrijević, Ph.D., Director of Institute of International Politics and Economics,
  • Radivoje Mitrović, Prof. Ph.D., State Secretary, Ministry of Education and Science,
  • Duško Lopandić, Ph.D., Assistant Minister Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia,
  • Vidica Drakulić, Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation for Serbia and Montenegro.

Fifty-two research papers were presented by numerous domestic and foreign authors from research and state institutions, as well as by experts affiliated to a various public institutions.

The conference was divided into a opening session and the following four working sessions :

  • Position and Place of the Republic of Serbia in South-Eastern Europe
  • Serbia’s Relations with Neighbouring Countries and Countries of the Region
  • Improvement of Relations Between SErbia and the Successor States of SFR Yugoslavia
  • Bilateral and Multilateral Aspects of Cooperation Among South-East European States
