CONFERENCE:
Danube Strategy: Strategic Significance for Serbia



15-16 November 2011

Institute of International Politics and Economics, in co-operation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, organised a two-day conference entitled

“Danube Strategy: Strategic Significance for Serbia”.

It took place from 15-16 November 2011 at the conference hall of Institute of International Politics and Economics, Belgrade.

The conference was opened by

  • Duško Dimitrijević, Ph.D., Director of IIPE,
  • Duško Lopandić, Assistant Minister and Director of the European Union Sector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia,
  • Edita Stojić-Karanović, Ph.D., President of the International Scientific Forum “Danube – The River of Cooperation”.,
  • Nevenka Jeftić Šarčević, Ph.D., Assistant Research Director of IIPE and
  • Mr. Vidica Drakulić, representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Project in Serbia and Montenegro.

The conference consisted of four panels within which authors from numerous domestic and foreign research and government institutions presented thirty three scientific papers.

The Conference was divided into a plenary session and the following four panels:
